The President's Message

Dear Companions and Friends of Abitrigo and of the Wheat Industry,

In this year of 2007, the XIV INTERNATIONAL WHEAT SEMINAR BRAZIL will be held at the Bourbon Cataratas Hotel in Foz do Iguaçu, on the border with Argentina and Paraguay, our neighbors, friends and partners.

As in previous years, we hope that a large number of these partners and of our Associates from all over Brazil will attend the event.

In the event's program, you will find out all the details of the schedule, which will begin on the evening of October the 18th. The core theme will be broken down into two parts; Friday the 19th will be dedicated to technology issues, which are so very important for us to expand our products' consumption base and to meet the demands of current consumers, whereas on Saturday the 20th we will innovate, by presenting a panel with one speaker and several debaters, to discuss “wheat market prospects”, a highly relevant subject in this year of record prices and difficulties in supplying the Brazilian industry.

At the event's closing, we hope to hear one of Brazil's Ministers, who will convey the federal government's views about our sector.

In parallel with the Seminar, we will hold our traditional “Abitrigo Fair” at the Expositions and Business Center, to be attended by several partners that will exhibit services and products for the wheat industry.

We hope that the entire event will be of great benefit within a relaxed and pleasurable environment for all.
